This tubular city bike tyre is available in two different tread compounds to choose from. For models with a black tread, they will feature the Green Compound that's designed for sustainability. Its special technology makes it possible for the first time to manufacture the tread rubber with polymers exclusively from renewable and recycled raw materials and deliver excellent grip as well as durability. Versions that don't have a black tread will have the SBC compound, which also provides fantastic grip, versatility and control as you navigate across mixed terrain conditions. Whatever option you select, you'll enjoy the benefits of K-Guard protection, which uses reinforced Kevlar fibres to provide additional resistance against cuts and flats on your travels.
The Road Cruiser impresses due to its appealing tread design and plenty of colour options. The outstanding feature of the Road Cruiser, however, is in the tread and it is called Green Compound. A rubber with polymers only made from renewable and recycled raw materials in such a quality, that Schwalbe uses for the first time in a conventional bicycle tyre.
Green Compound is exclusively available for tyres with a black tread.
